DIVERSE HOUSEWIVES
It looks like the ladies of Wisteria Lane are gonna have to regroup for a new cast photo. Desperate Housewives has tapped Alfre Woodard to join the show full-time next season as a seemingly normal housewife who moves into the cul-de-sac with her son in tow, per Variety. The four-time Emmy-winner will appear in this season's final episode before returning in the fall as a series regular. WINGING IT
Shannen Doherty is in final talks to play a matchmaker in the UPN comedy pilot Wingwoman, per The Hollywood Reporter. The premise centers on a single woman (Doherty) who helps her male clients find their soul mates. Insiders are billing it as "Miss Match without the appealing lead."

Martha Stewart's request to shed that unsightly ankle bracelet and end her home confinement early have been denied. A federal judge ruled Monday that Stewart must keep wearing her electronic anklet and abide by home confinement rules despite complaints they were hindering her efforts to revive her empire and wear her new Jimmy Choo boots.
