Hilary Swank has finally opened up about why her marriage to Chad Lowe ended. The Oscar winner tells Vanity Fair that Lowe has been battling a "substance-abuse" problem for three years. "When I found out, it was such a shock because I never thought he'd keep something from me. And yet, on another level, it was a confirmation of something I was feeling that was keeping us from being completely solid," said Swank. "I knew something was happening but I didn't know what." Swank does not reveal the name of the substance Lowe allegedly abused, but says he is sober now.
