Bawdy Golden Girl star Rue McClanahan's bum ticker, prompts surgery!

The TV star is now recuperating in a hospital after having heart bypass surgery, her manager confirmed.

On Monday McClanahan visited her doctor, who detected an irregular heartbeat and promptly and asked her check into a nearby New York hospital.

McClanahan underwent the bypass operation the following day.

"She's fine, so it could not have gone better," her rep said..

Rue, now 75, played the promiscuous Blanche Devereaux on hit television series The Golden Girls that ran with from1985 to 1992.

Costar Bea Arthur died earlier this year.
